Job Summary
Wee Watch Nepean is looking for a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our Home Visitor team.
This position plays an essential role in supporting the operations of our Licensed Home Child Care Agency. The successful candidate will serve as a liaison between home child care Providers, families, and the agency, while also supporting administrative coordination and compliance tasks under the direction of the Executive Director.
The Home Visitor component focuses on ensuring that all Provider homes meet and exceed Wee Watch standards and Ministry of Education regulations related to safety, nutrition, and child development.
Key Responsibilities
Home Visitor Duties
- Conduct regular home visits to ensure Providers comply with Wee Watch policies and Ministry of Education regulations
- Complete home assessments, monitoring visits, and follow-up visits
- Maintain accurate documentation, visit reports, and compliance records
- Support Providers with child development guidance, programming ideas, and resources
- Ensure homes meet requirements related to health, safety, nutrition, and learning environments
- Provide coaching and mentorship to Providers
- Assist Providers in implementing How Does Learning Happen? Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's care and development
- Address concerns and support conflict resolution when needed
- Assist with onboarding and orientation of new Providers
- Plan and deliver professional development workshops for Providers
Qualifications
- Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing with the College of ECE
- Minimum 2 years experience in early childhood education or home child care
- Knowledge of How Does Learning Happen?
- Understanding of Ontario Ministry of Education regulations for Licensed Home Child Care
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check

Job Details
Job Type: Full-time, 35 hours per week.
