Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Mixer Operator to join our team. In this vital role, you will operate the mixer, verify proper addition of hand add ingredients, and control other functions of the mixing process. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a feed industry position where precision, efficiency, and safety are paramount.
Duties
- Operate the mixing system to efficiently manufacture feed to meet plant standards.
- Check product code on ticket to be sure it matches mixing formula.
- Add hand-add ingredients as required.
- Set all valves, turnheads, and conveyors to route product to the proper storage bin.
- Use the grinder, roller and all related equipment to efficiently maintain stock of ingredients over the mixer.
- Use the transfer system in conjunction with processing to maintain stock of ingredients in mill.
- Maintain a record of equipment used and ingredient handled on the Mixer Operator Log Sheet.
- Process the mixing ticket and post to proper storage bin.
- Unload incoming bulk ingredients, setting turnheads, conveyors, and routing to proper bin.
- Maintain a clean workplace to prevent cross-contamination.
- Job requires frequent lifting of items up to 25kg.
