Summary
We are seeking a passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team in Nepean. In this role, you will assist in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals that meet our residents' dietary needs and preferences. Your contributions will play a vital role in enhancing the dining experience for our community.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
- Ensure that all meals are prepared according to established recipes and standards.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and support as needed.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to create menus that cater to resident preferences and dietary restrictions.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as necessary.
- Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration and creativity.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise kitchen staff effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of food handling, safety, and sanitation practices.
- Experience in menu planning and food preparation within the hospitality or food industry.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and residents.
