Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and experienced Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment, whether at a fine dining restaurant, nightclub, or banquet setting. This role requires a strong knowledge of beverage preparation, POS systems, and food safety standards. The bartender will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, managing orders efficiently, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately using POS systems
- Engage with customers to take drink orders, answer questions about menu items, and recommend beverages based on preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties with accuracy, including processing payments and giving correct change.
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and ensure safety.
- Restock bar supplies as needed, including garnishes, glassware, and beverages.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff for food service when applicable, especially during catering or banquet events.
- Uphold high standards of hospitality by providing attentive service in various settings such as nightclubs or fine dining venues.
- Assist in setting up for special events or private parties as required.
Experience
- Previous experience working as a bartender in a restaurant, nightclub, or banquet environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Experience with food handling, food safety protocols, and beverage preparation techniques.
- Strong skills in time management, sales, and customer service are essential for success in this role.
- Knowledge of the food industry including catering, food service, retail math, and basic math skills related to cash handling and billing.
- Experience working in fine dining establishments or hospitality venues is a plus.
