We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker to join our team. As a Baker, you will play a vital role in creating delicious products that delight our customers.
Duties
- 5 am start time
- Prepare and bake a variety of goods (muffins, cookies, scones, cakes, etc.) according to established recipes and standards.
- Prepare sandwiches.
- Ensure all baked items meet quality and presentation standards before serving or packaging.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
- Food costing.
Qualifications
- 3+ Proven experience as a Baker or in a similar role within the food industry.
- Availability to work on weekends.
- Have a valid work permit to work in Canada.
- Completed baking and/or pastry program (preferred).
- Food safe certification (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Familiarity with various baking techniques and equipment is essential.
- A passion for cooking and creating unique baked goods is highly desirable.
