We are seeking a temporary, half-time teacher to teach Grades 7-10 Social Studies and Grade 7 Science. This position will begin on August 25, 2026. The contract will end on June 29, 2027.
We are seeking a teacher who:

Appropriate educational training and experience teaching the Alberta Jr./Sr. High Social Studies curriculum.
- Willingness to work collaboratively as a member of an instructional team;

A commitment to building relationships with students to create a safe, caring, and welcoming learning environment;

A strong belief in parent involvement and communication, including regular communication with home beyond the use of report cards;

Strong organizational and classroom management skills;

In-depth knowledge of and experience with current outcome-based assessment practices and ability to develop multiple assessments, such as portfolios and projects, in addition to more traditional assessments;

An ability to ensure success for students with diverse academic, behavioural, emotional, and/or curricular needs within the classroom setting;

Alberta Teaching Certificate or eligibility for the same;
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
