Position Summary:
The Machinist is responsible setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to perform various tasks such as drilling, milling, and turning. This role requires a combination of technical skills, precision, and problem-solving abilities to ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience in precision machining, and is skilled at interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
Primary Responsibilities:

Maintain and service equipment through preventive maintenance and repair coordination

Troubleshoot and solve complex mechanical and operational issues

Prepare and load/set up the raw material or die sections in the machine

Manufacture, modify, and repair precision tools, jigs, fixtures according to specifications, blueprints, and technical drawings

Run and program CNC machines using provided CAD/CAM data (primarily Mastercam)

Interact with CAD specialists/Toolmakers to refurbish/improve/build spares

Use of various equipment/tools to create and repair tooling, including, but not limited to, grinders, welding equipment, machining equipment, and overhead cranes

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
