Position Summary:
City Cruises Canada is seeking a highly creative, organized, and digitally driven Content & Social Media Specialist to help elevate our storytelling, expand our social media presence, support influencer partnerships, and build engaging content across all three ports in Ontario, including
Niagara Falls, Toronto and Gananoque. The ideal candidate is highly creative, organized, and digitally driven Content & Social Media Specialist to help elevate our storytelling, expand our social media presence, support influencer partnerships, and build engaging content across all three ports.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about tourism, travel, lifestyle content, short-form video, and social storytelling. The position of Content & Social Media Specialist reports to the Marketing Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This role will focus heavily on content creation, social media execution, creator/influencer coordination, short-form video content, social media community engagement, content planning, trend monitoring and content library development
Content Creation & Social Media:
- Creates engaging social-first content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other digital channels
- Captures photo and video content across Niagara Falls, Toronto, and the 1000 Islands
- Edits short-form video content including Reels and TikTok-style storytelling
- Assists with copywriting for captions, stories, blogs, newsletters, and website content
- Schedules and publish content across social platforms
- Monitors social trends, audio trends, and emerging creator/content opportunities
- Supports seasonal campaign launches, promotions, and special events
Influencer & Creator Partnerships:
- Assists with influencer outreach, coordination, hosting logistics, and content approvals
- Helps manage creator deliverables, timelines, tracking links, promo codes, and reporting
- Supports the growth of City Cruises Canada’s influencer and creator network
- Coordinates hosted experiences and creator itineraries across all ports
Community Management:
- Monitors and respond to social media comments, messages, and engagement opportunities
- Supports online reputation management and guest engagement initiatives
- Identifies opportunities for user-generated content amplification
Content Planning & Brand Support:
- Assists with maintaining organized content libraries and digital asset management
- Assists in developing monthly content calendars and campaign planning
- Collaborates with internal teams, external partners, and agencies
- Supports tourism partnership and co-op marketing initiatives
AI & Digital Tools:
- Utilizes AI-powered tools to improve creative efficiency, ideation, copywriting, and content production
- Supports innovative digital storytelling initiatives and evolving social media trends
- Completes any other duties as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications:
- 2–5 years experience in social media, content marketing, digital marketing, tourism, hospitality, or lifestyle brands
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and short-form video trends
- Experience creating and editing mobile-first video content
- Strong copywriting and storytelling abilities
- Comfortable appearing on-camera and directing content shoots when needed
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar creative tools
- Familiarity with influencer marketing and creator partnerships
- Highly organized with strong project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for travel, tourism, lifestyle, hospitality, and experiential marketing
- Photography and videography experience, experience using AI tools for content and marketing workflows, experience with Meta Business Suite and social scheduling platforms qualifications are preferred
- Tourism, hospitality, entertainment, or attraction experience considered an asset
