Job Overview
Established in 2017, COBIDE Engineering Inc. is a busy consulting engineering and planning firm based in Hanover, Ontario. We support public- and private-sector clients with land development applications across Grey, Bruce, and Wellington Counties.
We provide planning services from pre-consultation through to development approvals for all applications under the Planning Act. As part of our team, you will work on a broad range of land use planning and development projects alongside experienced planning and engineering professionals.
Duties
· Manage land use planning projects and development applications, coordinating with clients, municipal staff, consultants, agencies, and stakeholders.
· Prepare planning reports and supporting materials, including Planning Justification Reports and Briefs, Due Diligence Reports, site plans, and subdivision designs.
· Interpret planning policy, legislation, and regulations, and provide professional planning opinions and recommendations.
· Attend meetings with clients, municipal staff, committees, and Council, including occasional meetings outside regular business hours.
Qualifications
· A university degree in Planning or a related discipline.
· Full or Candidate Membership with the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI) and Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP).
· At least three years of progressively responsible experience in land use planning and development in the private or municipal sector.
· Working knowledge of the Ontario Planning Act, Provincial Planning Statement, Official Plans, and Zoning By-Laws.
· Strong project management, research, problem-solving, and professional communication skills.
· Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
· A valid G driver’s licence.

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
