Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Trailer Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operation, and mechanical maintenance. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining trailers and related equipment to ensure safety, reliability, and optimal performance. Candidates with mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with hand tools and power tools are highly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on trailers, including electrical systems, brakes, axles, and structural components
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues effectively
- Conduct routine maintenance such as lubrication, and safety inspections
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools to complete repairs
- Assist in the assembly or disassembly of trailer components during repairs or upgrades
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used
Qualifications
- Proven experience in trailer maintance
- Mechanical knowledge of trailer systems, or industrial equipment preferred
- Proficiency with schematics, electrical systems, welding, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems such as brakes, axles, hydraulics, and electrical wiring
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills for working with team members and customers
- Relevant certifications or licenses related to heavy equipment operation or welding are advantageous
