CNC Milling Machine Programmer / Operator - Stoney Creek, ON
Our client is looking for a CNC Programmer to join a well-established precision manufacturing environment serving highly regulated industries including aerospace, defence, medical, and advanced industrial sectors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing CNC programs, interpreting technical drawings, and supporting machining operations to ensure efficient and high-quality production. Responsibilities
- Develop CNC programs from STEP files, PDF drawings, and technical specifications
- Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to establish machining requirements
- Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring correct tooling and fixtures are applied when required
- Perform machine checks and routine maintenance to support optimal performance
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot machining issues
- Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality
- Verify program accuracy and make adjustments as needed during production runs
- Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards within a manufacturing environment

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in CNC programming
- Strong proficiency with CNC programming languages
- Experience using CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam and Esprit
- Solid mechanical aptitude with hands-on machining experience, particularly with lathes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of precision manufacturing processes
