Responsibilities:
- Create and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
- Provide instruction to students in various subjects, such as math, science, language arts, and social studies
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students
- Assess student progress and provide feedback on their academic performance
- Maintain a safe and positive classroom environment conducive to learning
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement educational programs
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and behavior
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred
- Knowledge of special education strategies and techniques is a plus
- Bilingual proficiency, particularly in French, is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills to effectively manage classroom activities and materials
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of lesson plans and assignments
- Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities and effectively manage student behavior
