Job Description: Live-In Elderly Caregiver
Temporary Residents and Open Work Permit Holders Welcomed
We are currently hiring a compassionate and reliable Live-In Elderly Caregiver for a private family located in South Edmonton. This is a full-time, on-site role ideal for someone who is patient, caring, and experienced in providing support and companionship to seniors.
Position Details:
Location: South Edmonton
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time, Live-In
Wage: $20/hour
Requirements:
- Must have a valid work permit or legal authorization to work in Canada
- CPR and First Aid certification required
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle preferred
- Previous experience in elderly care, caregiving, personal support work, or home support
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Cooking skills for meal preparation
- Urdu or Hindi language skills are considered an asset, but not required
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and compassionate care to the elderly individual
- Assist with daily living activities and companionship
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment
- Assist with mobility and transportation to appointments or activities if required
- Monitor general wellbeing and provide emotional support
