ABOUT THE POSITION:
We are currently seeking a talented Inventory Controller to join our team in our Calgary Distribution Center.
The Inventory Controller plays a critical role in administrative oversight and direct support of inventory control within the warehouse. This role includes maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring timely stock movements, and facilitating effective communication within the warehouse and with external stakeholders. This position is vital for the smooth operation of the warehouse and significantly contributes to the company's operational efficiency.

- Maintain accurate inventory, both physical and systematically, regularly reviewing database, reconciling discrepancies, and updating with new stock
- Investigate and escalate all inventory related discrepancies to ensure timely resolution
- Communicate with suppliers to guarantee timely delivery of goods by regularly checking shipment status and resolving any issues
- Coordinates and conducts scheduled cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
- Ensures accurate set-up and maintenance of BIN locations in the warehouse management system
- Oversee incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate processing and tracking in collaboration with the distribution team.
- Conduct and participate in the annual inventory count, providing detailed reports and insights.
- Identify and implement best practices and improvements in inventory management to minimize losses and increase efficiency
- Communicate inventory issues and variances with management for timely resolution.
ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in inventory control; distribution, or warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and ERP platforms.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
