This is not a casual dog-walking job.
Wagging With Chantal is a structured, high-standard dog walking company working in busy downtown Toronto. We are looking for someone who understands that this role comes with real responsibility, fast-paced decision-making, and strict safety protocols.

KEY CHALLENGES OF THE ROLE (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY)
Applicants must be comfortable with:
- Driving throughout downtown Toronto using their own reliable vehicle
- Being fully responsible for the safety and wellbeing of multiple dogs at once
- Learning and applying dog behaviour knowledge, pack management, and safety procedures
- Making quick, informed decisions in real-time environments
- Working within a larger company structure with strict protocols and expectations
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
This is a physically and mentally active role. You will:
- Use your own vehicle to pick up 4–6 dogs per walk (eventually managing 6–12 dogs once fully trained)
- Safely transport dogs to and from designated off-leash parks
- Conduct structured, hour-long pack walks
- Monitor dog behaviour, group dynamics, and safety at all times
- Communicate consistently with management and the team via smartphone
- Follow daily schedules, routes, and protocols without deviation
- Return dogs safely to their homes after each walk
Service Area:
Toronto West End — Bathurst to Jane (East–West), St. Clair to King (North–South)
REQUIREMENTS (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
- Valid G2 or G Driver’s License
- A reliable personal vehicle in excellent working condition that is large enough to safely transport up to six dogs. A standard sedan is not suitable for this position. SUVs, crossovers, minivans, station wagons, or similarly sized vehicles are required.
- Confident downtown Toronto driving experience
- Smartphone with reliable data plan
- Comfortable handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
- Strong communication skills and responsiveness
- Ability to think quickly, stay calm, and problem-solve independently
- Willingness to commit to at least one year
- Available full-time weekdays (9:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
- Must be reliable, punctual, and organized
- Independent contractor status
