We are currently seeking a Field Service Technician to provide services to our Red Deer area clients. This
is a hands-on, field-based role where you’ll work on engines, generators, and related equipment, handling
everything from troubleshooting and repairs to commissioning and maintenance. If you like autonomy,

What you’ll be doing
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel and natural gas engines and
generators
- Complete startups, commissioning, calibrations, and load bank testing
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control systems
- Perform overhauls and repairs on engines, compressors, and auxiliary equipment
- Deliver strong customer service in the field and build relationships
- Complete service reports, timesheets, and required documentation accurately
- Maintain service truck, tools, and equipment
- Participate in on-call rotation and support after-hours service
What you bring
- Journeyperson certification (HET, Millwright, Automotive, Electrician, or equivalent)
- Minimum 3+ years of field service experience in power generation, gas compression, or similar
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and control systems
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
- Experience with generators, engines, and related systems
- Self-starter who can work independently in the field
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license with clean abstract
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and travel as required
