The WildSage Kitchen and Bar, located in the beautiful DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, is currently recruiting for a part-time Bartender to join our amazing team.
Primary shifts will be weekdays 3/4:00p.m. to 11 pm. Preference will be given to the candidate with previous experience and flexibility for scheduling. 20-25 hours/week.
Reporting to the Assistant Restaurant manager, the primary function of this role is to provide prompt and courteous service to restaurant and lounge customers and creating beverages for restaurant servers as required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
·Meet and exceed customer and team member expectations in a timely and efficient manner by providing superior service and teamwork
·Take beverage orders from servers or directly from guests or patrons
·Have full knowledge of beverage and wine lists, menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods, and promotions
·Maintain bar inventory and supplies and replenish as required
·Complete customer POS transactions for food and beverage sales
·Mix drinks, water and other components to prepare cocktails and other beverages for restaurant staff
·Perform all side duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position and to provide superior service and teamwork
·Ensure compliance with provincial liquor legislation and regulations
·Practice safe work environment standards and uphold safety guidelines
Education & Qualifications:
·Minimum 19 years of age
·Previous Bartending experience required
·Valid Serve it Right or provincial equivalent
·Food Safety and First Aid Certificates are considered an asset
·Customer service experience, as well as cash handling experience is required
·POS Micros experience required
·Energetic and flexible, able to work under pressure
·Self-motivated, creative, capable of working in a team environment
·basic knowledge of wine types and varietals, as well as proper wine pour service
Working Conditions:
·Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
· Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
·Must declare shift availability l in advance
·Attend all department meetings
·Participate in training as required
·Must follow the dress code and service etiquettes as specified at all times
