Welder/Fabricator
You will feel like a proud and valued member of a great team. Main responsibilities as a Welder/Fabricator will be working at our business location in Putnam. The Welder/Fabricator would mainly work on used equipment performing welding and general repair work. In addition, you would also work on new equipment and implement custom features.
Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
Job Requirements
- Weld and fabricate products to document specifications
- Ability to do repair and service work on used equipment such as replacing bearings and changing oil on gearboxes
- Ability to do work on new equipment and do modification according to customer requests
- Use hand, air, and power tools, cutting torch, plasma cutters and welding machines
- Experience with aligning, fitting, welding, measuring, layout, marking, cutting, and grinding.
- Provide quality workmanship consistent with company and industry standards
- Occasional on-site work
Skills and Qualifications
- 2+ years MIG welding experience is ideal
- Less experienced candidates with a motivation to work hard and learn new skills will also be considered
- Analytical mindset with an eye for detail and quality
- Experience using a variety of tools and equipment
- General math skills and mechanical aptitude
- Strong work ethic and a desire to be part of a high-performing team
- Strong organization ability to plan your day, prioritize your workload, meet deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team and take ownership of assigned work
- Understanding of hydraulics and electrics is an asset but not required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Must be legally entitled to live and work in Canada
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
