Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Plumber to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair, providing a valuable foundation for a career in the trades. The Apprentice Plumber will work under the supervision of experienced plumbers to develop essential skills, gain practical knowledge, and contribute to various construction and maintenance projects. This role is ideal for individuals interested in building a career in plumbing, with opportunities to learn about mechanical systems, blueprint reading, and the use of hand and power tools.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed plumbers with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Learn to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, fitting, and assembling plumbing components
- Support in performing basic carpentry and construction tasks related to plumbing projects
- Participate in the assembly of piping systems, fixtures, and other plumbing equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Assist with troubleshooting mechanical issues related to plumbing and related systems such as HVAC when applicable
- Support routine maintenance tasks to ensure proper functioning of plumbing systems
Experience
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems or construction trades is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic math skills beneficial for understanding measurements and schematics
- Prior experience or coursework in carpentry, HVAC, welding, or maintenance trades is a plus but not mandatory
- Strong work ethic with a desire to develop technical skills through on-the-job training
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license is advantageous for travel between job sites but not mandatory at the start

Pay: $18.72-$22.00 per hour
