Job Overview:
As a member of the maintenance team, the Millwright reports to the Technical Manager, and is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing injection molding machine control systems as well as other miscellaneous equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform predictive preventative maintenance of plastic extrusion equipment, manufacturing machinery and machine shop equipment and tools.
- Perform preventative maintenance on tools with hydraulic & pneumatic systems.
- Maintain injection molding machines such as Nissei, Toshiba, Mitsubishi, Engel - newer and older models.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment system faults, ensure adequate control and safety measures are working and enforced. Enlist OEM as required.
- Initiate purchase orders for equipment and machinery, parts and materials for production and building requirements, and maintaining critical spares and maintenance inventories.
- Perform emergency/ unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Support maintenance and operational needs. Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records (CMMS system, and ESA logbook).
- Maintain, repair, test, program and install electrical motors, hydraulics, pneumatic electrical control systems, sensors, and variable frequency drives.
- Perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance to simple control networks.
- Coordinate health and safety awareness sessions.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- College degree, diploma, program and/or Millwright 433A and/ or 442A Electrician certification.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in manufacturing environment specializing in injection molding.
- Demonstrated diagnostic trouble shooting abilities.
- Mechanical, electrical/ electronic experience and training.
- Comfortable with using computer applications and digital technology.

- Able to work on Saturdays/ weekends.
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour

Licence/Certification:
