Our client is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst (CPA) to join their finance team in a highly visible role reporting directly to the Director of Finance. This position is focused on business partnering, financial analysis, forecasting, profitability improvement, and supporting operational and strategic decision-making across the organization.
Principal tasks and responsibilities include:

Partner with sales, operations, and leadership teams to identify opportunities to improve revenue, gross margins, profitability, and overall business performance.

Analyze sales performance, customer profitability, product margins, pricing strategies, and business trends to provide actionable recommendations.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting packages including variance analysis, profitability reporting, and KPI dashboards.

Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities while working closely with operational leaders.

Develop financial models, scenario analysis, and business cases to support strategic initiatives, capital investments, pricing decisions, and growth opportunities.

Monitor and report on key performance indicators including revenue growth, gross margin, operating efficiency, inventory performance, and working capital metrics.

Perform product costing, labour analysis, pricing analysis, and inventory analysis to support business decision-making.

Translate financial and operational data into meaningful insights and recommendations for senior leadership.

Identify opportunities to improve reporting, business processes, systems, and financial visibility across the organization.

Support strategic projects focused on growth, process improvement, operational efficiency, and profitability enhancement.

Assist with month-end reporting, reconciliations, and accounting activities as required.

Build strong working relationships across Canadian and U.S. operations and serve as a trusted business partner to key stakeholders.
Qualifications and pre-requisites: -
CPA designation required or nearing completion.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial analysis, business analysis, management reporting, or commercial finance.

Strong experience supporting operational and commercial decision-making through financial analysis and business insights.

Advanced Excel skills including financial modeling, forecasting, scenario analysis, and data analysis.

Experience using Power BI and large ERP systems.

Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, KPI reporting, and business performance measurement.

Experience presenting financial information and recommendations to senior leadership.

Experience within distribution, manufacturing, wholesale, consumer products, or other product-based environments is highly preferred.

Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and business partnering skills.
