Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Loader Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating Cat 972–988 loaders in a safe and efficient manner while performing loading, feeding, and stockpile operations. This role requires strong equipment operating experience, attention to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced aggregate and crushing environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate Cat 972–988 loaders safely and efficiently for loading, feeding, and stockpile operations
- Load trucks and crushing/screening equipment as required
- Maintain organized stockpiles and manage material flow throughout the site
- Perform daily pre-operational inspections and routine maintenance checks on equipment
- Monitor equipment performance and report mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly
- Follow all company safety policies, site procedures, and workplace regulations
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment around equipment and operational areas
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, and team members to ensure efficient site operations
- Assist with general site duties and equipment support when required
Requirements
- Previous experience operating Cat 972–988 loaders preferrably
- Experience in aggregate, crushing, screening, or heavy equipment operations considered an asset
- Valid driver’s licence required
- Strong understanding of safe equipment operating practices and job site safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Mechanical knowledge and routine equipment maintenance experience considered an asset
