Site Supervisor | Mechanical Contracting | GTA & Ontario
Vanguard Mechanical Inc. is a growing mechanical contracting company delivering commercial and institutional HVAC, piping, and mechanical systems across Ontario. We're looking for an experienced and dependable Site Supervisor to join our team and be a key presence on our job sites.
About the Role
As our Site Supervisor, you'll be the eyes and ears on our active project sites — keeping things moving safely, documenting progress, and keeping the office in the loop. You'll bring real Canadian construction experience to the role and hit the ground running from day one.
What you'll be doing:
- Conducting regular site visits across our GTA and Ontario projects
- Performing and coordinating health & safety inspections in compliance with OHSA and site-specific requirements
- Reading and interpreting mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural drawings and specifications
- Providing clear, timely project status updates to management
- Liaising with trades, subcontractors, and general contractors on site
- Flagging issues, documenting site conditions, and maintaining accurate records
What we're looking for:
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable Canadian experience in a site supervisor role within general contracting
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural drawings
- Solid understanding of Ontario construction safety standards and OHSA compliance
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Own vehicle required — regular travel to project sites across the GTA and Ontario is expected
- Strong attention to detail, accountability, and a proactive, team-first attitude
What we offer:
- Salary: $60,000 – $90,000 per year, based on experience
