Compensation: $25–$30 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday (hours vary based on production and delivery schedules)

Our Roller Truck Driver is responsible for driving brand new one tone, dual wheel pickup truck with goose neck trailers. Provide courteous, accurate and on-time deliveries of engineered wood floor and truss packages throughout the Thompson Okanagan and surrounding areas. Safe loading and unloading with a forklift, vehicle inspections, minor repairs, maintenance, participation in health and safety related duties, and assistance with various tasks within our shipping department.

The Role
This is a hands-on, safety-first position responsible for transporting truss packages and engineered wood products to various job sites throughout the Thompson Okanagan region.
You’ll operate a one-ton dual-wheel pickup with gooseneck trailer and act as a company ambassador during all customer interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations established by Kamloops Truss Ltd.
- Abide by all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain full regulatory compliance throughout all work activities.
- Safely load, secure, and transport truss packages and engineered wood products while strictly adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Regularly interact with customers during deliveries, providing professional, courteous, and solution-focused service.
- Conduct routine inspections of truck and trailer to ensure proper maintenance and safe operation.
- Perform minor repairs on company vehicles and equipment as required.
- Monitor vehicles for routine maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and general upkeep.
- Monitor inventory of maintenance and logistics supplies (spare parts, fluids, essential tools), ensuring vehicles remain stocked and organized.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of trucks and work areas.
- Assist in other areas of the production and shipping department as required.
Seasonal Production Note
As a seasonal manufacturing facility, adaptability and teamwork are essential. Full-time hours are contingent on production needs, and during slower periods, the successful candidate must be willing to support other areas of the operation as required.
What You Bring
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with Heavy Haul Endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving and delivery experience
- Clean driver’s abstract (required semi-annually)
- Strong safety mindset and accountability
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate job site terrain in all weather conditions
