Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Prior experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to company standards
- Operate Squirrel POS system for order processing and cash handling
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks when necessary, including assembling food items or snacks
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in the food industry with knowledge of coffee preparation and serving techniques
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Squirrel POS, for efficient order processing and cashiering
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Effective communication skills and a friendly demeanor to enhance customer experience
