London Ice Cream Company (3397 White Oak Road, Unit 1, London, ON N6E 3A1) seeks a Production Supervisorto lead a team of production staff in the daily processes of mix production, packaging and cleaning. This position will include the following duties:
· Lead the team of production staff in the daily processes of mix production, packaging and cleaning;
· Managing line production;
· Coordinate and schedule the activities of production staff team members;
· Be responsible for the set up procedures and perform set up;
· Handling of ingredients;
· Managing supplies, including requisition supplies;
· Perform specific tasks as part of the cleaning and sanitation of the work area for the next day of production;
· Help implement SQF (Safe Quality Food) policy;
· Prepare production reports and track quality paper work;
· Establish methods to coordinate scheduling activities of the team of production staff.
Required Qualifications:
· College Diploma or Degree (Preferred);
· 1-3 years of work experience in a food production supervisory role;
· Strong leadership;
· HACCP/BRC/SQF certification/experience an asset;
· Leadership experience;
· Good communication skills; Highly Proficient in English (both written and verbal)
· Ability to work in a high paced team environment;
· Must be physically capable of lifting and manually moving products weighing up to 50lbs. in freezer and dry areas;
· Independently motivated;
· Attention to detail;
· This position requires willingness and commitment to the irregularwork schedule:
o 10 hour shift
o 12 hour shift
o 8 hour shift
o Day shift
o Evening shift
o Monday to Friday
o Overtime and weekend availability.
Permanent, Full time (40 hrs/wk) @ $23.50/hr-$26.50/hr.
