Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Gas Station Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while ensuring the smooth operation of the gas station. You will assist with fueling vehicles, managing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. This position requires strong communication skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with fueling their vehicles.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for processing transactions efficiently.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the gas station, including restrooms and convenience store areas.
- Assist customers with inquiries about products and services, providing knowledgeable recommendations.
- Perform merchandising duties by restocking shelves and ensuring product displays are appealing.
- Promote sales through upselling techniques and product demonstrations to enhance customer experience.
- Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed during shifts, including inventory checks and cleaning duties.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive experiences for customers.
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and providing accurate change.
- Experience in retail sales or technical sales is advantageous, particularly in technology-related products.
- Proficiency in using POS systems and other technology related to sales operations.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Time management skills to prioritize responsibilities effectively throughout shifts.
