We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of transport trailers, maintaining operational efficiency while maintaining a safe work environment.
You will work as a team member outside within our work area ensuring proper repair and maintenance of the transport chassis.
All training done in house, no need for any certifications. Experience in welding and knowledge of general mechanics would be ideal.
Team spirit, is very important to us. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, punctual, friendly and able to work well as a team member.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues before they lead to failure.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules and protocols.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and techniques, then implement effective repairs.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems to restore equipment functionality.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades, ensuring safety standards are met.
- Adhere to safety procedures and protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
Skills
- Experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or similar role in an industrial or manufacturing setting would be ideal
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills for collaborating with team members and reporting issues clearly.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks safely. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to the operational success of our facility while developing your technical skills within a supportive team environment.
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
