Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry tasks, including building structures, installing siding, soffit, and fascia, and ability to hang and tape drywall is considered an asset. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to take instruction and complete tasks both within a team or without supervision in a timely manner, and proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment. The selected candidate will work on diverse projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. Wages will be depending on experience, and quality of work.
Duties
- Build and assemble structures such as walls, roofs, and frameworks according to specifications.
- Install flooring materials and perform tile laying with precision.
- Execute finishing tasks to enhance the aesthetic appeal of completed projects.
- Install siding and other exterior finishes to protect buildings from weather elements.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role within the construction industry. (Portfolio or photos of previously completed work will be an asset)
- Strong skills in building, assembling, and installing various structures.
- Proficiency in siding installation, trim/baseboard installation and flooring installation.
- Ability follow detailed instructions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
- Must have CSA-certified boots and fully-equipped toolbelt.
- Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle required.
