Job Summary:
The Server is responsible for providing attentive, efficient, and courteous service to guests in a bar environment. This role includes taking orders, delivering food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a positive guest experience. Servers uphold company service standards, follow responsible alcohol service guidelines, and support overall bar operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Guest Service – Bring good energy and a welcoming personality to every interaction; greet guests warmly, take accurate orders, and ensure timely, attentive service that creates memorable experiences.
2. Order Execution and Coordination – Work closely with bartenders and kitchen staff to deliver food and drinks accurately, handle special requests, and maintain consistency in quality and presentation.
3. Maintain Cleanliness and Standards – Keep tables, service stations, and dining areas clean and organized; reset quickly for new guests; and follow sanitation and safety regulations.
4. Handle Transactions – Process payments accurately through POS, manage cash responsibly, and follow company procedures for receipts and reporting.
5. Collaborate with the Team – Support colleagues during busy periods, communicate effectively with supervisors, and contribute to a positive, professional work environment.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Previous serving or hospitality experience preferred.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., Smart Serve, TIPS) required or preferred based on jurisdiction.
- Experience in a bar, pub, or high‑volume environment is an asset.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in fast‑paced environments.
- Basic knowledge of food, cocktails, beer, and wine.
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash‑handling procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Pay: $17.60 per hour
