Job Description: Client Care Coordinator / Physiotherapy Assistant
The Client Care Coordinator and Physiotherapy Assistant role with Euro Physical Therapy is the initial point of contact for patients and acts as a resource for all patients.
Core Responsibilities:
- Excellent at patient care service is a fundamental part of this role.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Schedule appointments, manage the office calendar and follow the check-list.
- Email & answer telephone calls.
- New patient registration according to clinic's standards.
- Help patients to fill up the intake and necessary forms, and verify all information.
- Greet guests and patients upon arrival, and provide optimum customer service.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Prepare treatment area and patient for assessment and treatment.
- Assist practitioner for patient care as per direction and prepare treatment area.
- Suggest or guide patients for any additional services/products as directed and in patients' best interest for optimum outcome of patients' recovery.
- Booking/rescheduling follow up appointments as directed by the provider.
- Perform billing and tracking of coverage and create reports for - private, insurances, Workers' Compensation Board and disability, Veterans Affairs Canada, disability and MVAs.
- Collect & record payments, invoicing, follow up on account receivables, and complete clinic billing timely as per the instructions.
- Verify end of the day report and filing.
- Perform all administrative tasks provided by the manager or clinical director.
- Prioritize cleanliness of the clinic throughout the day including sanitizing patient area, high touch points, etc.
Skills:
- Proactive with an ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Competent to identify, understand, investigate, and resolve issues regarding patient care, communication, reports, any billing, collections and multiple funding sources.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Proficient in using office software and electronic medical record systems will be an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Able to adapt and improve with clinic operations to continuously learn and strive for improved Patient care.
- Responsible for Booking, Billing, WCB Clientele, MVA and Private Patients.
- Preferred: experience as a PTA, experience working directly with patients, or kinesiology.
