Job Description: Working under the supervision of a Research Chair in the Sustainability-Led Integrated Centres of Excellence (SLICE), the student research assistant will support an applied agriculture research project focused on evaluating AI-driven crop health diagnostic technology under Saskatchewan Prairie conditions. The student will assist with field deployment of crop and environmental sensors, field data collection, crop monitoring, disease scouting, plant physiology measurements, and organization of field datasets for wheat field at Legacy farm near Moose Jaw, SK. The student may also assist with data entry and general field research activities related to early crop stress and disease detection. Strong attention to detail, record-keeping skills, and willingness to work in outdoor field conditions are required. Training will be provided. An interest in agronomy, precision agriculture, remote sensing, drones, or agricultural technology will be considered an asset.
