Minimum Requirements:
Two years of trade experience as a fully qualified Journeyperson in a large industrial facility
Strong knowledge of pressure, temperature, level, and flow instrumentation and controls, including the use of test equipment and the ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, and data sheets
A valid Alberta Journeyperson certified or Interprovincial Red Seal Instrumentation certificate - please attach your Journeyperson / Red Seal ticket with your application to be considered
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
Responsibilities
Execute planned maintenance and response work
Preform walk downs and help build energy isolation packages
Maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of all types of instrumentation and controls
Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and equipment deficiencies
Provide safety, cost, and operational improvement feedback opportunities as you see them
Participate in the development of maintenance procedures and follow maintenance procedures and instructions
Location & other key details
You will work out of our base plant site in Fort McMurray, Alberta - supporting our upgrading, extraction, mine equipment maintenance or maintenance support services production units
The shift schedule is a six days on/six days off rotation (three days on, three nights on, six days off; 12-hour shifts)
This position is safety sensitive
You will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use of ladders and working on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined
