About the Role
iNFOTEL MULTIMEDIA is seeking a creative and organized Social Media & Digital Content Specialist to manage social media programs for our clients while also overseeing homepage banner advertising campaigns on iNFOnews.ca.
This contractor position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with small businesses, creating engaging content, designing graphics, communicating with clients, and managing digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution.
You will be responsible for growing and maintaining our clients' social media presence, creating digital assets, and managing homepage banner advertisements for businesses.
QualificationsPreferred Education & Experience
· Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Design, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
· Experience managing social media accounts for businesses
· Experience working with small businesses and local brands
· Strong understanding of Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), TikTok, and emerging social platforms
· Experience using Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or similar design tools
· Strong written communication skills
· Excellent organization and time-management abilities
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts
Assets
· Experience with Meta Business Suite
· Experience creating paid social media campaigns
· Experience designing digital advertising creative
· Basic understanding of digital marketing and online advertising
ResponsibilitiesSocial Media Management
· Develop and implement social media strategies for assigned clients
· Create engaging content that aligns with client goals and brand standards
· Design graphics and promotional assets using Canva, Photoshop, or similar tools
· Schedule and publish content across multiple social media platforms
· Monitor engagement and participate in community management activities
· Respond to direct messages and comments where required
· Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure content accuracy and effectiveness
· Stay informed on platform updates and social media best practices
Homepage Banner Management (iNFOnews.ca)
· Design and create homepage banner advertisements for clients
· Coordinate banner approvals with clients and internal staff
· Upload, maintain, and update banner creative as required
· Implement customer-requested revisions and seasonal updates
· Monitor active banner campaigns to ensure creative remains current
· Maintain records of active banner contracts and renewal requirements
Client Communication
· Communicate professionally with clients regarding content approvals, revisions, and campaign updates
· Respond to internal and external communications within 24 business hours whenever possible, and no later than 48 business hours
· Build positive relationships with clients through proactive communication and dependable service
General Requirements
· High-speed internet connection
· Reliable computer capable of running required software and video conferencing applications
· Ability to attend virtual meetings via Microsoft Teams or Zoom
· Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
Compensation StructureSocial Media Management
· Basic: 1 post per week, $100/month
· Bronze: 2 posts per week, $174/month
· Silver: 3 posts per week, $250/month
· Gold: 4 posts per week, $350/month
Social Media Advertising Management
· Basic 200: $25/month
· Basic 300: $35/month
· Bronze 400: $50/month
· Bronze 500: $60/month
· Silver 600: $75/month
· Silver 700: $85/month
· Silver 800: $100/month
· Budgets above $800/month receive an additional $10/month compensation for each additional $100 in ad spend managed.
Homepage Banner Management
· $25/month per active Evergreen Homepage Banner contract
· Includes banner creation, maintenance, revisions, and customer communication
Contractor Notice
This is an independent contractor opportunity and is not an employment position.
The successful contractor is responsible for:
· WorkSafeBC coverage, if applicable
· CPP contributions
· Income tax remittances
· Any other statutory obligations associated with self-employment
No benefits, vacation pay, or employment-related entitlements are provided under this agreement.
