Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Detail Technician to join our General Motors dealership team. The ideal candidate would be responsible for delivery preparation of new vehicles, which may include applying various products such as ceramic coatings, paint protection film etc., assisting with inventory parking and display tasks, reconditioning of pre-owned vehicles, some minor scratch and dent work, possibly some windshield chip repairs, as well as retail cleaning and detailing of customer vehicles. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual passionate about automotive detail and presentation, and must be committed to providing exceptional customer service. Previous experience, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to vehicle care are important. Training may be provided as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough cleaning and detailing of new and used vehicles.
- Paint protection film installation
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency
- Communicate effectively with dealership staff and customers, regarding needs and recommendations
- Maintain a clean work area and well maintained equipment in order to uphold a professional environment and deliver professional services
- Skills
- Proven experience as an automotive detail technician or similar role is preferred
- Excellent ability to communicate information clearly
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks efficiently to maintain a safe working environment
- Attention to detail with a focus on exceptional quality workmanship
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required
