The Yard Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and organize materials within the yard or warehouse. The role requires attention to safety, efficiency, and teamwork to ensure smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklift to load and unload trucks safely.
- Move materials to designated storage areas.
- Stack and organize products properly in the yard.
- Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance issues.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized yard area.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and work as part of a team.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid forklift certification.
- Previous experience operating a forklift (preferred).
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to lift heavy materials when required.
- Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions (outdoor yard).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to [insert weight, e.g., 80 lbs].
- Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions.
