Job Overview
Big Way Hot Pot is seeking a hands-on Warehouse & Logistics Manager to lead the setup and daily operation of our Toronto warehouse. This role is responsible for warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics coordination, and team management to support restaurant growth across Eastern Canada.
This is a working manager role, managing a small warehouse team of 3–5 employees while ensuring efficient and accurate warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
1. Warehouse Operations
* Lead the launch and daily operation of the Toronto warehouse
* Develop and implement warehouse SOPs and operational standards
* Manage receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping activities
* Ensure warehouse cleanliness, organization, and food safety compliance
* Maintain compliance with company policies and local regulations
2. Inventory Management
* Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels
* Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits
* Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
* Minimize product loss, damage, and waste
* Coordinate replenishment planning with purchasing and operations teams
3. Logistics & Distribution
* Coordinate inbound deliveries from suppliers
* Manage outbound deliveries to restaurant locations
* Schedule and monitor transportation activities
* Work with third-party logistics providers and freight companies when required
* Support route planning and delivery efficiency improvements
4. Team Leadership
* Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse associates
* Create employee schedules and manage labor productivity
* Monitor performance and provide coaching and development
* Promote a safe and positive work environment
5. Reporting & Continuous Improvement
* Monitor warehouse KPIs and operational performance
* Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs
* Prepare inventory, labor, and logistics reports
* Support warehouse expansion and process improvement projects
Qualifications
1. Required
* 3+ years of warehouse or logistics management experience
* Experience in food distribution, restaurant supply chain, retail, or related industries
* Strong inventory control and warehouse operations knowledge
* Experience leading frontline warehouse teams
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required and work in warehouse environments
2. Preferred
* Experience opening or setting up a warehouse facility
* Experience supporting multi-location restaurant operations
* Familiarity with food safety and cold-chain requirements
* Mandarin and English bilingual ability

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
