We are seeking a Maintenance Technician. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all equipment in accordance with safety, preventive, predictive and productive maintenance systems.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
- Perform Preventive Maintenance on equipment accordingly
- Cleaning, lubricating and performing other routine maintenance work on equipment
- Adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing defective parts
- Align and calibrate machinery and equipment parts as required for efficient and safe operation
- Maintaining a clean workplace after work is complete
- Complete all paperwork as required
- Work with contractors as required
- Ensure all work performed adheres to all relevant organizational, provincial and federal safety regulations, codes and specifications
FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in Training as needed
- Follow GMP Practices
SKILLS REQUIRED (INCLUDE EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND PROFICIENCY):
- Journeyman, 2nd year to 4th level Apprentice (Other Levels may be considered dependent on experience)
- If not certified relevant experience will be considered
· Previous experience is considered an asset
· Complete company required Food Safety and Quality Training
· Participate in all required Health and Safety Training
· Proven record in upholding safety standards.
· Ability to understand and follow written and verbal job instructions.
· Be available and willing to work shifts
· Ability to operate HMI touch screens.
· Team player who wants to identify and help resolve issues around the facility.
· Ability to work with others in a diverse team.
