Job Overview
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Support Coordinator is responsible for managing manufacturing reporting processes through accurate SAP data entry, production confirmations, and operational reporting. This role supports the plant by ensuring production, labor, and inventory information is accurately captured and maintained for operational and financial reporting purposes. As a highly organized and detail-oriented team member, the Production Support Coordinator works closely with Operation, Scheduling, Warehousing, Finance, and Human Resources to support efficient plant operations and business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process and maintain daily production, labor, inventory, scrap, and temporary labor data within SAP.
- Complete daily production confirmations and prepare operational performance reports.
- Review and validate production information prior to SAP entry to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy.
- Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reporting, cycle counts, and reconciliations in partnership with the Warehouse team.
- Track key operational metrics and prepare KPI reports, highlighting trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Investigate inventory and count discrepancies and support timely resolution.
- Support month-end and year-end reporting activities, including budget tracking and variance analysis in collaboration with Corporate Finance.
- Create and approve purchase orders, process invoices, and support payment tracking with Accounting.
- Maintain accurate production reporting within HRIS (Dayforce) and provide administrative support to the plant, including reception, supplies management, vendor coordination, and special projects.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary diploma, degree, or certification in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a production support, administrative, reporting, or analytical role.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using HRIS systems, preferably Dayforce.
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Sel-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Highly organized team player with strong interpersonal skills and continuous improvement mindset.
