Okotoks Montessori Preschool & Kindergarten is looking for an experience Floater to work mid-morning in classrooms and flow into After Care. The Floater/After Care will work within a team atmosphere to provide classroom management during the day (help with crafts and assist students) as well as assist in outdoor lunch supervision and then flow into aftercare with the support of another aftercare employee. Aftercare includes providing a safe and fun environment, oversee snack time and help provide engaging indoor and outdoor physical/movement activities for children aged 3-6. Must be 100% reliable, used to being outdoors and work in a team environment.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with other after care team, the students and their families
- Patience, warmness, flexibility with children
- ECE Level 1, 2 or 3
This is a 0.75 position, Monday - Thursdays, from 10:30 am - 4:30 pm, and Fridays 2:30-5:30 pm, following the local school division for holiday school closures, beginning August 31/2026 - June 24/2027.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
