Job Summary
The restaurant at The Old Country Market is a very busy establishment and tourist destination, reaching peak business in the summer months. The Busser/Food runner will be responsible for serving the guests food, removing used tableware, and clearing and sanitizing tables after guests leave.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Bringing food to the table for guests.
- Clearing tables after guests leave. Take tableware to dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing.
- Thank guests as they are leaving.
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
- Promptly clean table tops, chairs and booths between seating. Check floor and clean as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Great customer service skills.
- No previous restaurant experience required.
- Must be able to work well with others to help create a friendly work environment.
- Need to be able to stand for long periods of time, and lift some heavy items.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, high stress environment
