Position Summary:
Middle Beach Lodge is looking for a Front Desk Supervisor to help lead our Front Office team and ensure every guest experience reflects the warmth, professionalism, and care that define our lodge.

What You’ll Do:
The Front Desk Supervisor plays a key leadership role in daily operations, supporting the Front Office team while ensuring seamless guest experiences from arrival to departure. This role blends hands-on guest service with team leadership, operational oversight, and collaboration across departments.
As a Supervisor, you will also serve as Manager on Duty when scheduled, acting as a key decision-maker and point of contact for guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Service Excellence
- Deliver warm, personalized service that reflects Middle Beach Lodge’s West Coast hospitality style
- Resolve guest concerns with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency
- Anticipate guest needs and create memorable moments throughout the stay
- Ensure lobby and reception areas maintain a welcoming, polished atmosphere
Front Desk Operations
- Oversee daily front desk operations, including check-ins, check-outs, and guest communications
- Support reservations accuracy and ensure guest profiles and stay details are complete
- Monitor room status, arrivals, departures, and special requests
- Ensure adherence to lodge policies, procedures, and service standards
Team Leadership & Support
- Provide guidance, coaching, and daily direction to Front Desk Agents
- Lead by example, fostering a positive, respectful, and accountable team culture
- Assist with training and onboarding of new team members
- Support scheduling needs and shift coverage in collaboration with leadership
Manager on Duty Responsibilities
- Act as primary on-site contact in the absence of senior management
- Support operational decision-making across departments
- Respond to guest or operational issues with professionalism and sound judgment
- Ensure safety, security, and service standards are upheld at all times
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Skills
- Previous front desk or guest service experience in hospitality
- One years supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable using property management systems and standard office software

**Only applications able to sign a minimum one (1) year contract will be considered, subsidized on-site staff accommodation starting from $350 per month, with additional off-site accommodation also available in Tofino. Retention Bonus after 6 months and Departure Bonus upon successful completion of your contract.**
