Position Overview
Spring Lakes Golf Club is seeking a dedicated and personable Marshal to join our team for the golf season. The Marshal plays a critical role in ensuring a smooth, enjoyable experience for our members and guests by maintaining pace of play, upholding course etiquette, and providing a welcoming presence out on the course. This position reports directly to the Lead Marshal (Wayne) and works closely with the Golf Professional team.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage pace of play across all three courses (North, South, East), addressing slow groups in a respectful and professional manner
- Enforce club policies related to cart usage, including staying on designated cart paths, avoiding no-cut and restricted areas, and protecting turf health
- Uphold course etiquette standards, including tee assignments, dress code, and general on-course conduct
- Provide friendly, informed assistance to members and guests, answering questions and offering directions or guidance where needed
- Communicate consistently with the Pro Shop and Lead Marshal via walkie-talkie, reporting any incidents, injuries, weather concerns, or maintenance issues immediately
- Assist with starter duties as needed, ensuring groups tee off on time and according to the tee sheet
- Follow the club's emergency protocol in the event of any on-course incidents, and coordinate directly with the Pro Shop and Lead Marshal as needed
- Represent Spring Lakes Golf Club with professionalism, warmth, and a genuine passion for the game
Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
