Overview
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team immediately. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics. This role involves performing a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks to ensure vehicles are safe, reliable, and operating at peak performance.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair various automotive issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and mechanical knowledge
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs efficiently and safely
- Follow manufacturer specifications and safety protocols during all repair procedures
- Assist with vehicle assembly and component replacement as needed
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams for accurate repairs
- Maintain detailed records of work performed on each vehicle for quality control and customer communication
- Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Complete insurance inspections
Requirements
- 3rd/4th year apprentice or Journeyman
- Currently licensed to perform out of province inspections - or the ability to get licensed prefered.
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of routine tasks
- Experience with automotive repair software or diagnostic systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
This position is Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
