Job Description
Join a team of professional fabricators where you will manufacture high-quality metal parts and products in a large custom fabrication shop. You will perform welding on large, complex components while adhering to strict safety, quality, and documentation standards.
Responsibilities

Manufacture metal parts and products to meet established quality standards.

Weld large and complex components using appropriate processes and techniques.

Apply working knowledge of various metals, filler metals, welding parameters, preheat, and interpass temperatures to produce sound welds.

Understand and follow welding procedures and specifications accurately.

Comply with all health, safety, and environmental guidelines and regulations at all times.

Follow all quality assurance (QA) requirements and complete required documentation thoroughly and accurately.

Interpret and work from blueprints and fabrication drawings to complete projects to specification.

Perform fabrication tasks on structural, galvanized, and stainless steel components as required.

Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe work area within the fabrication shop.
Essential Skills

Minimum 2 years of experience with FLUX core, MIG, Spot, or TIG welding in a custom fabrication environment.

Proficiency in flux core welding.

Proficiency in MIG welding.

Proficiency in TIG welding, including TIG spot welding.

Strong fabrication experience with structural steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

Blueprint reading experience with the ability to interpret and apply fabrication drawings.

Experience fitting and assembling structural steel components.

Ability to understand and follow welding procedures and specifications.

Strong commitment to working safely and following health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Ability to meet quality standards and follow QA processes, including completing required documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

CWB certification is an asset but not mandatory.

Experience working in a large custom fabrication shop environment.

Experience in manufacturing parts for construction, nuclear, military, or commercial applications is an advantage.

Work Environment
You will work in a large custom fabrication shop that manufactures parts for construction, nuclear, military, and commercial applications. The facility is loud, well lit, and kept clean, providing a professional industrial setting. Shifts operate on days or afternoons, offering some flexibility in scheduling. You will work around heavy fabrication equipment and welding stations in an environment focused on safety, quality, and precision.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
