Position Summary
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Yard Worker to join our lumber yard team. The successful candidate will assist customers, safely handle building materials, maintain an organized yard, and support daily shipping and receiving operations. This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and being part of a fast-paced team environment.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload lumber and building materials
- Assist customers with locating and loading products
- Operate forklifts and other yard equipment safely
- Receive and inspect incoming deliveries
- Keep yard clean, organized, and safe
- Pull and prepare customer orders accurately
- Help with inventory counts and stock organization
- Follow all company safety procedures and policies
- Work closely with drivers, sales staff, and yard personnel
Requirements
- Ability to lift heavy materials on a regular basis
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working outdoors year-round
- Forklift experience is considered an asset
- Knowledge of lumber and building materials is an asset
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
