Overview
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee evening and weekend operations ( focused on receiving) within our dynamic distribution center. In support of the Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a solid understanding of warehouse management systems. This role is critical in ensuring efficient warehouse distribution, process improvement, and maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. The Warehouse Supervisor will manage a team of warehouse staff, coordinate logistics activities, and support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize supply chain operations. Previous forklift and other warehouse equipment operation experience is considered a strong asset.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities; focus will be on evening and weekend shifts, ensuring timely order picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Oversee inventory management using ERP systems such as Netsuite, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
- Coordinate with procurement, purchasing, and supply chain teams to manage stock levels and order fulfillment.
- Utilize computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ERP systems to generate reports, analyze data, and support process improvements.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and quality within warehouse operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and conduct regular safety audits; promote a culture of safety awareness among staff.
- Manage forklift operations safely; ensure proper training and certification for all operators.
- Collaborate with 3PL providers and oversee logistics for e-commerce orders and warehouse distribution activities.
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external partners to meet operational goals.
- Handle customer service issues related to order fulfillment or delivery discrepancies professionally.
Skills
- Proven supervisory experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment with strong leadership capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; familiarity with ERP systems like Netsuite.
- Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly desirable to facilitate communication across diverse teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for team management and stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes, order picking procedures, packaging standards, and warehouse distribution practices.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies such as continuous improvement initiatives or Lean principles.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred; in-house training is provided.
- Data analysis skills for reporting and process optimization purposes.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms relevant to manufacturing or distribution sectors.
- Effective time management skills to oversee evening/weekend shifts while maintaining productivity standards. Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
