Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified Journeyman Automotive Service Technician to join our busy import dealership. This role is ideal for a skilled, efficient technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, diagnostic accuracy, and strong productivity in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical vehicle concerns accurately
- Perform maintenance services, inspections, and warranty repairs to manufacturer standards
- Complete work orders efficiently with strong attention to detail
- Road test vehicles as required to confirm repair quality
- Communicate clearly with service advisors regarding repairs, additional findings, and timelines
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Mentor and support apprentices when required
- Follow all dealership and manufacturer safety procedures
Qualifications
- Red Seal Journeyman Automotive Technician certification
- Minimum 1–5 years of hands-on dealership or high-volume shop experience preferred
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills across a wide range of vehicle systems
- Ability to work efficiently in a flat-rate environment
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Own tools required
