Job Summary:
Mount Alverno Luxury Resorts is seeking a passionate and experienced casual Banquet Cook to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences for weddings, corporate events, retreats, and special occasions.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook banquet and event menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist with food preparation, plating, and service for weddings, conferences, and special events.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Support the Executive Chef and culinary team with daily kitchen operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with receiving and storing food supplies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and banquet teams to ensure successful event execution.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1–2 years of culinary experience in banquets, catering, hotels, or restaurants.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a team-oriented environment.
- Food Handler Certification is an asset.
