Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure all food is handled safely and stored properly in compliance with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to prevent contamination and accidents
- Support the overall operation of the kitchen by assisting with meal assembly and plating as needed
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service in a restaurant or food industry setting
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
- Ability to efficiently perform meal preparation tasks under pressure
- Strong understanding of serving techniques and presentation skills
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team
